This picture shows Jim`s Cf Freightliner and B-trains Before the decals and final details. So far Jim has sanded down the front panel,front windsheild pillers, rounded the corners and sides of the roof,rounded the viser and added a line (between the cab and viser),added a step and flare above the front wheels and finally added a strip of plastic to represent the body line below the door windows all this was done to the herpa FLB to more *accuractley represent the real truck. Modifications to the truck chassis so far include shortening it, adding two tanks together (for each side) to make longer tanks and then scratch building steps,sanding down the bumper to represent the urethane kind (instead of the chrome kind) and the wheels are from Aline. Jim has shortened the 48` stoughton from walthers to a 32 foot lead, modifications to the lead so far include spreading the leads 50ich to a 54inch as well as making it slide in and out(as the real ones do) adding fenders,rear bumper and fith wheel.So far modifications to the pup inculde making the tandem into a singel axle and shortening the trailer from 48` to 28`.Model built by Jim Groeneweg. Here is Jim`s completed CF Freightliner tractor.Jim added windows from the Athearn Freightliner COE,sratch built corner sheilds, convex mirrors, roof lights, wipers,batery boxes,deck plate, stack mount, half fenders and made the singel headlights into duall headlights all to complete this replica of a CF tractor.
